Former University of Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore was fired for an inappropriate relationship, then allegedly invaded a woman's apartment, threatened suicide, and now faces felony home invasion and stalking charges.

Former University of Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore, 39, was fired after a long-term affair with a staff member was reported to the school. Prosecutors allege that after losing his job, Moore forcibly entered the woman's apartment, grabbed kitchen utensils, and threatened to kill himself in front of her, stating, 'I’m going to kill myself. I’m going to make you watch. My blood is on your hands. You’ve ruined my life.' He has been charged with felony home invasion, stalking, and another crime. Moore pleaded not guilty and was released on a $25,000 bond, with conditions including no contact with the woman, a GPS tracking device, and a mandatory mental health evaluation. The university will not buy out his $5.5 million contract due to the 'for cause' termination. Biff Poggi will serve as interim coach for the upcoming Citrus Bowl, and the scandal is expected to significantly impact the Wolverines' program.
