Nancy Guthrie, 84, the mother of 'Today' show host Savannah Guthrie, was last seen Saturday night at her Tucson-area home and is believed to have been kidnapped or otherwise taken against her will. Her family reported her missing Sunday afternoon. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department is investigating, noting that Guthrie has limited mobility and is of sound mind, ruling out her having wandered off. Sheriff Chris Nanos stressed the extreme urgency of finding her, as she requires daily medication, and missing it could become fatal. The investigation is treating her home as a 'crime scene,' and the homicide team is involved, which Nanos noted is unusual for such cases. Search efforts have included drones and search dogs, with support from volunteers and Border Patrol, and the FBI has offered assistance. Savannah Guthrie is in Arizona and issued a statement thanking everyone for their support and focusing on her mother's safe return.
