The Savannah Bananas' Banana Ball is launching a new league in 2026 with five additional teams, touring 75 stadiums in 45 states, including major league and NFL venues, and featuring former MLB stars as coaches.

Founder Jessie Cole announced a massive expansion for Banana Ball, spearheaded by the Savannah Bananas. A new league launching in 2026 will include five new teams: the Loco Beach Coconuts, the Indianapolis Clowns (a tribute to the original barnstorming team and Negro Leagues), the Party Animals, the Fire Fighters, and the Texas Tailgaters. This ambitious tour will visit 75 stadiums across 45 states, aiming to attract 3.3 million fans, a significant jump from 2.2 million in 2023. The schedule includes high-profile venues such as 14 major league parks and 10 football stadiums, notably the NFL's Superdome and Gillette Stadium, along with college football venues like Neyland Stadium and Kyle Field. Former MLB players Shane Victorino and Ryan Howard will join as "Primetime Coaches" for the new teams, with Howard emphasizing the honor of coaching a team that pays tribute to the Negro Leagues' style and swagger. This growth highlights the Savannah Bananas' success since their 2016 founding, which has even earned them an exhibit at the Baseball Hall of Fame for their unique, fan-engaging entertainment.
