Walt Disney Pictures has officially announced its live-action adaptation of the 2010 animated hit "Tangled," confirming Teagan Croft and Milo Manheim in the lead roles of Rapunzel and Flynn Rider, respectively. The original film, which featured the voices of Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi, grossed over $590 million globally and inspired a short film and a TV series. Michael Gracey, known for "The Greatest Showman," will direct the new "Tangled," with Jennifer Kaytin Robinson penning the screenplay. While no release date has been announced, this project is part of Disney's ongoing strategy of producing live-action remakes of its classic animated titles, following in the footsteps of upcoming films like "Snow White," "Lilo & Stitch," and "Moana." Croft is recognized for her roles in "Titans" and "True Spirit," while Manheim is a familiar face to Disney audiences from the "Zombies" franchise.
