Investigators in Arizona are escalating efforts to find 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie, mother of 'Today' show host Savannah Guthrie, who vanished from her Tucson home on February 1st. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department and FBI have expanded their search to a 2-mile radius, requesting surveillance footage from neighbors since January 1st for any suspicious activity. Federal and local officers are conducting door-to-door inquiries and searching desert terrain around Nancy's home and her other daughter's nearby residence, which Nancy visited just hours before disappearing. Key evidence includes recovered gloves and Nancy’s blood found at her entryway. A doorbell camera captured images of a masked person, now identified as a suspect, on the night she went missing. The FBI released a description of the suspect: a 5-foot-9-inch or 5-foot-10-inch male of average build, seen wearing a black 25-liter 'Ozark Trail Hiker Pack' backpack. The FBI Phoenix has also increased the reward for information leading to her whereabouts to $100,000, having received thousands of tips. Authorities believe Guthrie was taken against her will and express concern for her health as she requires several medications. Savannah Guthrie shared a hopeful message on Instagram, while her family has indicated a willingness to pay ransom, though the authenticity of previous ransom notes remains unconfirmed. Hundreds of detectives and agents are now assigned to the expanding investigation.
