Discover if the new Magnifique Combo Air Fryer, boasting 12 cooking modes and a nontoxic design, can truly declutter your kitchen and deliver on its promises as an air fryer, slow cooker, rice cooker, and more. This review details its performance and overall value.

The Magnifique Combo Air Fryer aims to be the ultimate all-in-one kitchen appliance, featuring 12 cooking modes including air frying, slow cooking, steaming, and rice cooking, all within a nontoxic glass and stainless steel design. Unlike many multicookers, it avoids PFAS and Teflon. The reviewer, an experienced product tester, evaluated its performance over three weeks. The appliance consists of a multicooker base and an air frying hood, utilizing a single 4.5qt glass bowl with swappable covers, though this means two power cords and separate storage for the lids. While generally impressed, the reviewer notes it may appeal primarily to those with limited space or budget, such as apartment dwellers or college students. As an air fryer, it cooked chicken breasts and wings effectively, but fixed temperature (450F/230C) and the lack of a shakeable basket made cooking fries less convenient. As a multicooker (max 214F), the steam mode was excellent for dumplings and vegetables, and it cooked brown rice faster than a dedicated rice cooker, though not as firm. The braise-then-crisp function was a standout, creating tender chicken with crispy skin. The slow cooker produced fall-apart tender chicken for a tikka masala, but lacked a sauté function. The pasta mode was used for hard-boiled eggs, not ideal for pasta due to temperature inflexibility. Cleaning was easy as the glass bowl and racks are dishwasher safe. The initial user manual was sparse but has since been updated. The verdict is that while it checks many boxes and is a great nontoxic option for those starting a kitchen or with limited space, it doesn't necessarily surpass dedicated appliances for users who already own them, except for its excellent steaming and braise/crisp capabilities.
