Too $hort has issued a public apology, retracting his previous statement about attending Diddy's 'welcome home party' after facing criticism. He claims he was insensitive and unaware of the full extent of the allegations against Diddy.

Too $hort has walked back his earlier comments, apologizing for saying he would attend a 'welcome home party' for Diddy upon his release from prison. In a video, the rapper admitted he was 'a little insensitive' and stated he wasn't fully aware of the allegations against Diddy when he made the initial remarks on 'The TMZ Podcast.' Too $hort emphasized, 'I do not condone abuse in any kind of way, not emotional, not physical not sexual, and I don't support anybody that does it.' He expressed regret for his comments, insisting he has since 'listened, learned and read up on the issue.' He also apologized to anyone he hurt, particularly women, including his daughter, reiterating, 'I do not support abuse or abusers and I just want to say I'm sorry for putting those words out there.' Too $hort clarified that his mention of a party was not about a 'where there's f***ing baby oil' type event, but rather a party he'd throw for friends. He stated he had attended 'dozens' of Diddy's parties in the past and 'Never once have I seen a naked person or a sexual act,' describing them as social and 'great parties.' The rapper also expressed hope for Diddy's redemption, saying, 'I hope that when he comes home that he's not an abuser anymore.'
