Banana Ball is expanding into a new five-team league in 2026, touring 75 stadiums in 45 states, including major league parks and NFL stadiums, and adding celebrity coaches.
The Savannah Bananas, known for their unique 'Banana Ball' entertainment, are significantly expanding their operations. Founder Jesse Cole announced a new five-team league for 2026, which will tour 75 stadiums across 45 states. This ambitious schedule includes appearances at 14 major league parks and 10 football stadiums, such as the Superdome and Gillette Stadium, as well as college venues like Neyland Stadium and Kyle Field. Cole projects fan attendance to grow from 2.2 million this year to 3.3 million in 2026. The new Banana Ball Championship League will introduce two new teams: the Loco Beach Coconuts and the Indianapolis Clowns, the latter paying tribute to the historic Negro Leagues team. Former MLB stars Shane Victorino and Ryan Howard will join as 'Primetime Coaches' for the new teams, with Howard expressing honor in coaching a team that celebrates the Negro Leagues' legacy of style and entertainment. The league will also feature existing teams like the Party Animals, Fire Fighters, and Texas Tailgaters. The Savannah Bananas' success in attracting younger fans with their unconventional rules and antics has already earned them an exhibit at the Baseball Hall of Fame.
