ICE Office Attack: Gunman Kills Detainee, Critically Wounds Two Others
by Amir Izad in ShootingA gunman fired upon a Dallas immigration field office from a nearby roof, killing one detainee and critically wounding two others before taking his own life. Authorities called it an indiscriminate attack on U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). All three victims were in a van outside the facility. Ammunition with anti-ICE messaging was found at the scene. The attack follows the recent killing of conservative leader Charlie Kirk and prompted DHS Secretary Kristi Noem to order increased security at ICE facilities nationwide. While all three victims were detainees, officials have not released their identities.
