Dolly Parton's nephew, Bryan Seaver, is seeking a delay in a court hearing for a temporary restraining order filed against him by Parton's estate, 'She's Alive,' which accuses him of making threats and demanding payments.

Dolly Parton’s nephew, Bryan Seaver, has requested a 10-day delay for a hearing concerning a temporary restraining order granted to her estate against him. The order was issued weeks after Parton's August 25 death, stemming from a serious rift that has become public. Seaver filed a motion in a Tennessee court to postpone the October 9 hearing, stating he needs more time to secure legal representation. 'She's Alive,' the entity managing Parton's estate and run by her longtime manager Danny Nozell, accused Seaver and his company, Squadron Augmented Protection Services, of threatening violence and aiming to destroy Parton’s legacy and business empire. Seaver, who was handpicked to announce Parton's death, claims he lacks the legal knowledge to proceed without counsel and will not object to the restraining order being extended until a new hearing date. The judge, Chancellor I’Ashea L. Myles, considered repeated threats, alleged demands for payment, and Seaver’s 'claimed access to weapons, experience with violence, and intention to retaliate' when granting the initial order. 'She's Alive' terminated Seaver and SAPS prior to filing the petition, citing his 'terrorizing conduct.'
