Donald Trump held a rally in South Carolina to support Darline Graham's congressional bid, where he faced protesters and used a transphobic slur against her opponent, Annie Andrews. Graham's campaign has been questioned due to her political inexperience.
Donald Trump is back in South Carolina, galvanizing his base to back senator Darline Graham. She is running to replace her late brother Lindsey Graham’s congressional seat. Her campaign has been dogged by questions about her political inexperience, notably after she struggled to answer a question about Taiwan and US national security. At the Wednesday evening rally, several protesters heckled Trump, before they were escorted. He dismissed their presence as paid operatives. As the rally kicked off, Trump repeated a transphobic slur he has used before to deride Graham’s Democratic opponent, Annie Andrews.
