Dolly Parton's SHOCKING Health Update Forces Major Vegas Residency Postponement!
by Alex Ingram in MusicCountry music icon Dolly Parton has announced the postponement of her highly anticipated Las Vegas residency, 'Dolly: Live in Las Vegas,' which was originally scheduled for six shows between December 4 and December 13, 2024, at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. Citing 'health challenges' and the need for 'a few procedures,' Parton stated that she wants to be at her best for her fans and is not going to be able to rehearse and put together the show she envisions. The shows, marking her first Vegas residency in 32 years, have been rescheduled to September 2026. Tickets will remain valid for the new dates, and refunds will be available. Parton reassured fans she is not quitting the business but believes she needs to 'slow down right now.' This announcement follows recent health issues, including a kidney stone and infection that prevented her from attending a Dollywood event earlier this month. The past year also saw the passing of her devoted husband, Carl Dean, in March. Despite these personal challenges, Parton remains active, with a new book, 'Star of the Show: My Life on Stage,' set for release in November, and a Broadway musical inspired by her life slated for 2026.
