Nancy Guthrie, mother of 'Today' host Savannah Guthrie, has been missing for weeks from her Arizona home. Blood was found on her porch, ransom notes were sent, and the FBI has identified a masked man as a suspect in her disappearance, raising severe health concerns.

The search for Nancy Guthrie, 84, mother of 'Today' show host Savannah Guthrie, has entered its third week following her disappearance from her Arizona home on January 31. Authorities found her blood on the front porch, and purported ransom notes were sent to news outlets, with two payment deadlines already passed. Concerns are high for Nancy Guthrie's health, as she requires vital daily medication for a pacemaker, high blood pressure, and heart issues. The FBI released surveillance video of a masked person, now identified as a suspect, seen wearing a handgun holster outside Guthrie's front door the night she vanished. The individual, described as a man approximately 5 feet, 9 inches tall with a medium build and carrying a 'Ozark Trail Hiker Pack' backpack, was captured by a porch camera after digital forensics experts recovered the footage. Investigators have also collected DNA from Guthrie’s property that does not belong to her or close contacts, and several gloves found near her home have been submitted for lab analysis. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department and the FBI are working closely, having received over 31,000 tips combined. Intensive search efforts have included sealing off roads, towing a vehicle from a parking lot, briefly detaining a person for questioning, and conducting a court-authorized search in Rio Rico. Savannah Guthrie and her siblings have made emotional pleas on social media, initially offering ransom and later seeking public assistance, vowing to never give up on finding their mother. Nancy Guthrie lived alone in an upscale Tucson neighborhood, where Savannah Guthrie grew up.
