A 17-year-old is indicted on murder charges for fatally stabbing another student at a high school track meet in Texas. The incident has shaken the community.

Karmelo Anthony, 18, was indicted on a murder charge Tuesday for the April 2 stabbing death of 17-year-old Austin Metcalf at a Frisco high school track meet. Collin County District Attorney Greg Willis stated the stabbing "struck a deep nerve." According to an arrest report, Metcalf asked Anthony to move from under his team's tent. A confrontation ensued, culminating in Anthony stabbing Metcalf. Anthony claims self-defense, while the prosecution plans to proceed with the murder charge. Anthony faces life in prison but is currently on house arrest.
