Texas Congressman KICKED OUT of Trump's Congress Speech!
by Amir Izad in PoliticsDemocratic Rep. Al Green of Texas was ejected from the House chamber during President Donald Trump's address to Congress for protesting Trump's claims of a mandate to cut Medicaid. Green's outburst, which involved shaking his cane and shouting, was met with chants of "USA! USA!" from Republicans. Speaker of the House Kevin Johnson ordered Green's removal, a swift and severe disciplinary action. Johnson later called for Green to be censured. Green defended his actions, stating it was important to oppose the proposed cuts to Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security. He also reiterated his belief that Trump is unfit for office and is working on new articles of impeachment against him. The incident highlighted the stark partisan divide in Congress, recalling similar past outbursts by other lawmakers, such as Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Rep. Joe Wilson.
