Trump's Bombshell: Air Support for Ukraine?
by Amir Izad in PoliticsDonald Trump suggested the US might provide Ukraine with air support as part of a security package to end the war with Russia. While ruling out sending US ground troops, he mentioned air support as a possibility. This follows his suggestion that a meeting between Zelensky and Putin would be best without his presence, contradicting previous statements. European leaders simultaneously discussed deploying a peacekeeping force from multiple countries. Other news includes Belarus and Iran planning to strengthen military ties, Russia claiming to have hit Ukrainian port infrastructure and captured settlements, a German Russian national charged with planning an attack on the Israeli embassy, the UK considering sending troops to Ukraine, and NATO defense chiefs holding a virtual meeting to discuss future security guarantees for Ukraine. Senator Lindsey Graham also commented that Trump is prepared to "crush" the Russian economy if Putin avoids talks with Zelensky.
