The FBI is assisting in the investigation, but as of yet, no suspect is in custody. President Trump and numerous other political figures from across the spectrum have expressed their condolences. A UVU student described lax security and the chaotic scene following the shooting. Kirk's final words before the shooting involved a discussion about mass shootings. His last social media post condemned the recent murder of a Ukrainian refugee. World leaders, including the British Prime Minister and the Israeli Prime Minister, have also expressed their grief and condemnation of the violence.
